Patients have questions before, between, and after appointments. Most of them are policy questions — visit hours, insurance accepted, what to bring. AskVault deflects those so your front-desk staff handles the cases that need a human.

How AskVault handles it
Not for patient health information — Data is stored with a managed database provider that holds a SOC 2 Type II report. AskVault does not sign BAAs and is not HIPAA compliant, so keep patient health information out of chats and uploads.
Strict source-grounded answers — Answers come only from your indexed policy documents and show the page or document they came from. When your documents do not cover a question, the agent is instructed to say so.
Mutating-skill confirmation — Actions that touch records (appointment changes, intake form pre-fills) require explicit patient confirmation before they fire. Account actions are recorded in an audit log that is kept for 365 days.
Human handoff baked in — The escalate-to-human skill hands a conversation, with its transcript, to your team. You decide in the agent's instructions which kinds of question must go to a person.
