AskVault vs SiteGPT — pages vs megabytes

SiteGPT and AskVault are both RAG chatbot builders trained on your website. They meter differently: SiteGPT counts crawled pages, where its pricing page defines a page as 2,500 cleaned characters, while AskVault counts indexed content in megabytes. SiteGPT month-to-month is $59 for Starter (1,000 pages, one chatbot), $129 for Growth (10,000 pages, two chatbots) and $429 for Scale (50,000 pages, three chatbots), with branding removal a paid add-on; annual billing reduces those materially. AskVault is $39/mo for 15 MB and two workspaces, rising to 100 MB and fifteen workspaces at $249/mo, with branding removal included from Growth.

AskVault compared with SiteGPT

All prices are month-to-month. Several vendors default their pricing page to annual billing, which shows a lower headline figure; where a vendor offers an annual discount it is noted in the cell.

Prices are listed in US dollars. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which handles global tax and compliance. Prices exclude tax: any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you are is shown at checkout.

Allowance on the entry plan 1,000 pages ≈ 2.5 MB
Derived, not SiteGPT’s own figure: they define a page as 2,500 cleaned characters (per SiteGPT’s pricing page), so 1,000 × 2,500 ≈ 2.5 MB of text. SiteGPT publishes no MB number.

15 MB

Messages on the entry plan 4,000 messages/mo on its lighter GPT-4.1-mini model, or 400 on GPT-4.1
SiteGPT allows more messages than AskVault at the entry tier, and by the widest margin of the three tiers. The row exists because omitting it while publishing their mid- and top-tier message counts would have hidden their strongest entry-level advantage.

Frequently asked questions

How do SiteGPT pages convert to AskVault megabytes?
SiteGPT’s pricing page defines a page as 2,500 cleaned characters, so 10,000 pages is roughly 25 MB of extracted text. That arithmetic is ours, not SiteGPT’s — they publish no megabyte figure, and we show the conversion rather than presenting the result as their number. Your own conversion will vary with how text-dense your site is.
Why does AskVault meter megabytes instead of pages?
Because a page is not a consistent unit. A 200-word FAQ entry and a 40-page PDF both count as content, and metering pages makes the second one nearly free while the first is expensive. Megabytes of extracted text track what actually costs us money to index and search.
Are these SiteGPT prices monthly or annual?
The figures in the table are month-to-month. SiteGPT’s annual billing is lower, and both sets of numbers appear in the cells so you can compare on whichever basis you intend to buy.
